Electric Opening Skylight Gold Coast

Job: Supply & install a large electric opening skylight into corrugated iron roof on the Gold Coast.

These clients are having their house renovated and required additional light and ventilation in one of the newly renovated rooms. They chose to go with the largest size Fakro Skylight which is a huge 1174mm x 1153mm. For the purpose of convenience, they decided on the electric opening model which is operated by a remote control. What is very special about the Fakro electric opening skylight, is that when it detects moisture, such as rain, it automatically closes. Therefore there is no need to stress if you accidentally go out and leave it open.

Roof Space Renovators’ installed the skylight into the roof. Although a standard flashing comes with the skylight, Roof Space Renovators’ prefer to have our clients pay a little extra for a custom made flashing if their roof is corrugated iron. It prevents potential issues with leaking down the track and gives everyone peace of mind. The standard flashing is fine for tile roofs.

Roof Space Renovators’ could have completed the internal works however, these clients already had tradesmen hired for the rest of the renovation works, so the client organised for them to finish the internal framing, gyprock sheeting and setting of the shaft.
