SKYLIGHT INSTALLATION – SAMFORD QLD 4520

For these happy clients at Samford in Qld, they required additional light, as well as ventilation. After being presented with our available skylight options, they particularly liked the timber frame featured in the FAKRO product range. They felt it fit more with the style of their home and loved the lacquered finish of the frame. The warranty was also appealing, as FAKRO offer a 20 year warranty on the glass. As mentioned, in addition to light, ventilation was also a requirement for these clients. Therefore, they chose the largest manual opening model of skylight that could fit, with consideration being based on price and the build of their home (our consultant measures to ensure accuracy in this respect).

Due to the roof being corrugated iron, custom flashings were required to ensure the roof remains leak proof. A shaft was built and finished with gyprock, square set internals and beaded finish around the bottom of the shaft (again a choice of the clients as they believed it better suited the property). All that was left for the clients to do was organise for the shaft to be painted.
