In existing homes, you’ve got to dodge obstacles like trusses, rafters, and wiring that might already be in place and in the way of your “perfect” spot. If you’re building new, just make sure to include it in your plans, and voilà, you’ve got the perfect placement without the fuss.
Usually centering your skylight looks best, but if that’s a no-go, we can get creative with multiple skylights side by side or even place them strategically around pesky obstructions like roof ridges. If your space is particularly tricky and you’ve been told that a skylight won’t work, there are alternative solutions like suntunnels or tubelights that bring in natural light.
