Well…first it is important to understand that the attic is a structural component of the home and if you are planning on utilising this space, it should be done properly. 

As part of our service, we organise for one of our trained consultants to visit your home and inspect your roof space.  Each home is built differently. Therefore, not all of our attic ladder models will fit in your home.  Nor will all our storage options be practical in every home.  Our storage flooring is not laid the same in every house and is dependent on the build of the home.  Therefore, it is certainly not a ‘one size fits all’ process, by any means.  Our consultant will need to discuss with you your attic ladder placement options, take some measurements and subsequently present details on the ladder models that will work within your home.  The consultant will also then be able to discuss your storage requirements and inform you of what is achieveable within your roof space.  Factors such as light and ventilation will also be discussed, if required.        

Levels of Attic Storage

As mentioned, we have various levels of attic storage solutions available.  These options start at just basic storage, through to a premium attic storage option.  Basic and Clean Storage rooms consist of storage flooring that when laid correctly, is rated to a storage capacity of 75kg per m2 plus foot traffic, so it can provide ample extra storage to a home that needs the space. If you have loads of height within your roof space, you may want to go with something a little more fancy and have a Premium Attic Storage Room built.  This involves building a structural floor and comes complete with gyprock walls, roof windows etc.  This kind of attic renovation can double as an additional room such as, hobby room, kids playroom, study etc.
