This attic transformation was completed by Roof Space Renovators’ back in November / December 2014, however unfortunately we didn’t end up taking before and after photos. The client recently contacted us for further quotes on separate renovation projects, therefore we were able to revisit and take photos of the project we completed almost 2.5 years ago.

Job: To transform a section of the roof space into a ‘Dust Proof Room’, for the purpose of storage and viewing Brisbane City.

Location: Tarragindi (7km South of Brisbane)

These clients required a functional storage area, however they were also aware of the possibility they may end up with a Brisbane City view from the attic, so opted to have a roof window installed in the hope of capturing a view. Roof Space Renovators’ were able to deliver on all levels! This smart looking 13.5m2 storage room was built into a section of the roof space, enabling the clients to make the most of the space for storage.

Job: To supply and install two Fakro roof window style skylights in the kitchen / dining area of the home.

Location: Wavell Heights

This home required more light in the kitchen / dining area. The owners wanted natural light and for the skylights to be visually appealing. They chose the Fakro brand of skylights for their strength and durability and they opted to have the skylights installed on opposite sides of the top ridge with one massive shaft for the aesthetic appeal. The home already had plenty of ventilation so they decided upon fixed (non-opening) skylights.

Roof Space Renovators’ mission was to create the largest clean storage room possible, in the roof space of their Coorparoo home. The room is accessed via the top of the range Stairladder Deluxe and our final measurement came in at a huge 27m2.

These clients are having their house renovated and required additional light and ventilation in one of the newly renovated rooms. They chose to go with the largest size Fakro Skylight which is a huge 1174mm x 1153mm. For the purpose of convenience, they decided on the electric opening model which is operated by a remote control. What is very special about the Fakro electric opening skylight, is that when it detects moisture, such as rain, it automatically closes. Therefore there is no need to stress if you accidentally go out and leave it open.

This client had two corners of the garage that were chock-a-block full of items. The client wanted to make better use of these two areas as It looked very untidy and was far from practical. Roof Space Renovators’ are GarageTek’s supplier and installer in South East Queensland. Roof Space Renovators’ specialise in transforming unused roof spaces into usable storage areas or even living areas. However, not everyone can or want make use of their roof cavity.
